Registration: Opens at 7:15am, closes 7:45am sharp

Start time: 8am for adults, 7:45am for minis

Location: Eaglehawk YMCA, Eaglehawk (enter via Simpsons Road, past bowling club)

About the Handicap Race

Race 5 is different to other races as it includes a staggered start based on your handicap – slower athletes will start earlier and faster athletes will start later. If you’re a slower athlete and you’ve ever wanted to experience crossing the line first, this is your big chance!

Available Distances

We offer a range of distances for athletes of all abilities, include separate races for children.
The event is run in the standard triathlon order of swim, bike, run.

Distances are:

100m swim, 3.75km ride, 1km run
Short course
200m swim, 7.5km ride, 2km run
Long course
400m swim, 15km ride, 4km run
Mini (under 7s)
50m swim, 1km ride, 100m run
Maxi Mini (over 7s)
100m swim, 3km ride, 500m run
150m swim, 3.75km ride, 1km run

Talented and confident children may instead compete in the adult races with approval from their parents and the race officials.


The bike is on a 4.5km loop around quiet nearby roads with some hills.
The run is an easy flat 1km loop around Lake Neangar.
